Welcome to ClayCountyCruzers.com! We are a Classic Car club in Clay County, Florida. We were formed early 2008 by our founder and first president, Elisabeth Palmer. Our first show was held in April 2008 in Middleburg. 

Our goal is to keep classic car interest & culture alive - 'Don't junk 'em - rebuild 'em!' This club was founded to connect with others who share our hobby and have fun while doing good things for our community. We look forward to meeting anyone in the north Florida area interested in classic cars. The proceeds from our activities are used to establish scholarships for Clay County High school students who seek post-secondary education and training in the automotive related industries. We also support other charities such as Quigley House, Wounded Warrior Project, the Safe Animal Shelter and several others.

Cruzers send Yellow Ribbon Fund Check PDF Print E-mail

Cruzers with the $5,000 donation check for the Yellow Ribbon Fund raised at the 6th annual Rev It Up Car show April 18.

We had 25 Cruzers participate in our monthly meeting where we celebrated the success of our 6th Annual

Rev It Up Car show with a $5,000 check for the Yellow Ribbon Fund, a Bethesda, Maryland based charity

that supports injured service members and their families around the country. Platinum Sponsor Cruzers

were recognized for their support.

6th Annual Rev It Up Car Show PDF Print E-mail

Our REV IT UP show was a total success!

Beautiful day and great turnout for our show! We raised a serious amount of cash for the Yellow Ribbon

Fund!  Thanks to all our participants and guests. Hat tip to all the friendly and hard working volunteers

who did an outstanding job welcoming our guests, registering cars, selling 50/50 and raffle tickets, t-shirts

and calendars.

We were entertained by the fabulous Hotrod Lincoln Band who played lots of oldies that we all enjoyed!

The Cruzer spirit was alive and well today at Fleming Island Presbyterian Church!

We were able to present scholarships to 4 Clay County High School seniors who are going to attend

various schools for automotive training after high school.

Cruzers Jack Cassidy, Bug Shell, Ken Wales and Wayne Lincoln all participated in different car shows February 28 and

March 1st.  Wayne won Best of show for his 1951 Chevy Pickup at Adamec's Car and Bike Show, Ken Wales won Best

Muscle Car at Jax Hotrodders Autorama at Prime Osborne Convention Center.  Congratulations to all!

 
Farewell to Margaret & Rick PDF Print E-mail

Tonight's Club meeting was the last one for Cruzers Margaret & Rick Yocom. They are re-locating to

Washington state. We presented them with the new Cruzer hoodies and a personalized plaque made

by pinstriper Jack Mullins. We wish them well and we will miss them.

Many Cruzers attended and brought their rides and many volunteered to make the show successful: Registration - Tommy Marcy and Elisabeth Palmer; Judging - David Butts, Charlie Pierro, Bob Best; 50/50 raffle - Norb Logsdon; Cruzer recruitment and calendar promotion - Rose and Tommy Redmond. Our club presented checks to The Clothes Closet, Quigley House, Safe Animal Shelter and Special Olympics of Clay County. We welcomed 6 new Cruzers yesterday, Hal Hill, Ken Wales, Roger & Denise White and Michael & Marianne Tomberg!

Our club was well represented at First Coast Car Council Ronald McDonald house fundraiser show at Trout Creek Fish Camp. LOTS of NICE Cars!

Many Cruzers received awards: Tommy & Anne Marcy, Wayne & Laura Lincoln, Bug & Evelyn Shell, Don Fisher, Jack & Carla Cassidy, Robert Atkinson, Lily & Stan Kinmonth, Charlie Pierro, and Rick & Marti Wilson. Club President Norb Logsdon won the 50/50 drawing! Our Tow Drag Team came in second and missed winning by two tenths of a second!

We had a good turnout and a good time at our 2014 Christmas Party at Big Dawgs' Sports Restaurant on Dec 8th.
We recognized outgoing club officers, sponsors, vendors, benefactors, artist and outstanding Cruzers.  

We were able to make a financial contribution to a local family dealing with chronic severe medical issues.

The Wendorff family happily accepted our gift and said it will indeed help make things a little nicer for them at Christmas.

Bill Dempsey was recognized as Benefactor of the Year for his continuous financial contributions and support of the club.

Cruzer James Jones was recognized as artist of the year for outstanding contributions of his his time and talent creating

our club t-shirt diner scene.

Cruzers Marti & Rick Wilson were recognized for Dr Dirty's Garage Sponsors of the Year.

Cruzer Terry Lewis was recognized as Vendor of the year for TLC Enterprizes for the club apparrel and banners!

Charlie Pierro was recognized as Outstanding Cruzer for his enthusiastic participation and promotion of club activities.

Cruzers fare well at Old Karts and Arts Show PDF Print E-mail

Cruzers participated in the Old Karts and Arts show as volunteers and judges. There many nice cars and nice car people there, enjoying the fall weather, checking out out all the cars and making new friends. We had 3 new couples join our club today. Welcome to the club Kathy & Jim Minton, Mary Ann & Scott Griffin, and Bonnie & David Sprinkle - all three couples won awards today too!

                                 

 

 

 

 

 
Calendar Photo shoot happens on 4th attempt PDF Print E-mail

The fickle weather was no match for our determination and finally, on the 4th attempt were able to have our photo shoot for the 2015 calendar!  Special thanks to all who volunteered their time and talent to make this happen!  A tip of the hat to Calendar Committee Chair Rose Redmond who really did a fantastic job! The calendar reveal will be on Oct 11th at our 7th annual Back to the Fifties Show, where we will have LIVE BAND entertainment and a Best Dressed 50's style competition!

Mother Nature put a literal damper on our calendar photo shoot this past weekend with lots of rain!  We are going to try again on September 20. Thanks to our calendar committee and all the Cruzers, models, photographers and volunteers for all their hard work!
